- What’s a Workspace?
A Workspace is a shared space where you can invite teammates and clients to work on sites together.
- What’s a site?
A site is a website or prototype that you build in Webflow.
- What’s the difference between a Workspace & a Site plan?
Every site built in Webflow automatically lives inside of a Workspace. Paid Workspace plans specifically unlock the ability to invite other people to collaborate and build in Webflow. Upgraded Workspaces also give your team the ability to build more free sites.
Each Webflow site begins at the a free Starter tier. When you need to scale that site and publish it to a custom domain, you can upgrade that specific site with a paid Site plan.
- Do I need both a Workspace & a Site plan?
Yes. To harness the power of Webflow you’ll need both a Workspace plan and a Site plan for each site you plan to build. But, you only need to upgrade to paid plans when the free Workspace and 2 Starter sites in our Starter plan stops meeting your needs.

- How many Workspaces can I have?
Workspaces are designed to be a space for you to organize and build your sites, and invite people to build with you. You may have different needs for different Workspaces, so you can create as many as you need, but each Webflow customer is limited to 1 free Workspace.
- How many paid Site plans can I have in my Workspace?
Any Workspace tier can support an unlimited number of paid Site plans. The main difference in site limits on Workspace tiers is the number of Starter sites each tier supports (Free = 2; Core = 10; Growth = Unlimited). As soon as you upgrade a Starter site to a paid Site plan, it no longer counts against your free Starter site limit.
- Can I cancel my Site plan at any time?
Yes, but you’ll still pay the remainder of the term for the plan you signed up for.
- Can I cancel my Workspace plan at any time?
Yes, but you’ll still pay the remainder of the term for the plan you signed up for.

- What kind of support does Webflow provide?
We provide customer support via email, and aim to reply to all requests within 48 hours. Those with paid Workspaces get priority support. You’ll also find helpful content on Webflow University and a host of helpful Webflow customers in our Forum.
- Can I host my website somewhere else?
You can export your site and host it anywhere you like with any of our paid Workspace plans, no attribution required.
Note: Dynamic content must be exported on a collection-by-collection basis and forms will stop working.
- Can my clients or coworkers upload their own content?
On the CMS and Business Site plans, clients and collaborators can use the Editor to edit and publish new content anytime.
- How much traffic can Webflow hosting handle?Webflow hosting scales automatically to handle millions of simultaneous visits and uses Amazon's Cloudfront CDN and Fastly to load websites in milliseconds.
- Are Webflow websites SEO-friendly?
Yes, Webflow sites are SEO-friendly. Our blazing-fast hosting, standards-based code, free SSL, and mobile-friendliness all help Webflow sites rank in search.
- Can I import my website or my code?
No, you can only develop websites in Webflow. If you export your code, it can’t be reimported.
- Can I cancel my Workspace plan at any time?
You can cancel your Workspace plan whenever you’d like. You’ll be downgraded to the free Workspace, which allows 2 free Starter sites. You won’t be locked out of any sites that have paid Site plans.
- Does Webflow have an API?
Webflow’s REST API allows you to add, update, and remove items from your CMS. Read the documentation.
